B5 Recruiting is partnering with a well-established international retail organization to identify a Data Analyst for its team in Boca Raton, FL.
Our client operates across multiple markets and retail brands, with a strong focus on food, general merchandise, and serving geographically diverse communities. Its operations span the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific, supported by complex retail, procurement, logistics, and business operations.
The Data Analyst will support the Strategy, Planning & Analytics function, working with business leaders and cross-functional teams to turn data into practical insights and recommendations. The role is designed for someone who enjoys going beyond reporting—looking at trends, KPIs, customer and business performance, and helping stakeholders understand what actions the data suggests. The client’s internal profile places the role in Boca Raton and describes it as a cross-functional position supporting business units and departments.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze business data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
- Build reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
- Monitor KPIs and business performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to management.
- Support business cases, strategic projects, and process improvements.
- Analyze customer, market, sales, and operational trends.
- Help improve reporting and analytics processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills, including Power Query.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages used for analytics.
- Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify trends, issues, exceptions, and business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
- Ability to collaborate with management and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous professional experience in data analytics or business analytics.
- Experience with visualization and modeling tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Oracle Analytics, or Alteryx.
- Experience supporting KPI reporting, business performance analysis, or strategic decision-making.
- Experience presenting analytical findings and recommendations to management.
- Master’s degree in Data Science or a related field.
Good Fit If You Have Experience With:
- Excel + Power Query + SQL/Python + Power BI/Tableau + business analytics + KPI reporting.
This role has no direct reports and is focused on hands-on analytics and business support.
